United Players Performance Against Wolves 4-3 Win
Here is a summary of how United players performed:
Andre Onana: Did not have many testing attempts to deal with in the first half and was indebted to Lisandro Martinez for avoiding another clanger. Let in more saveable goals. 4
Diogo Dalot: Reaffirmed his status as first-choice right-back with a performance reminiscent of the first half of last season. Wolves had little joy down his side. 8
Raphael Varane: A better defender with Lisandro Martinez next to him. Read the danger time and again but too easily done by Pedro Neto for the equaliser. 6
Lisandro Martinez: Organised, communicated and his mere presence elevated the performance level of teammates. Spared Onana with a vigilant clearance. 8
Luke Shaw: Showed why he makes such a huge difference with his overlapping runs and one led to Rasmus Hojlund’s goal. Reined in his attacking in the second half. 8
Casemiro: Booked in the third minute but then the Casemiro of last season resurfaced. Serenaded on two separate occasions by the United fans but gave away a penalty. 7
Kobbie Mainoo: Acquitted himself well again and is benefiting from playing with Casemiro and earned approval from teammates deep into the second half. And what a goal. 8
Alejandro Garnacho: Switched the ball for the second goal but wasted some good openings. For once, one of the weaker performers. 6
Bruno Fernandes: Underpinned the front three expertly on the ball and off it in a quietly effective performance. 7
Marcus Rashford: Downed Wolves with his own shot in the fifth minute and contributed to the second goal. Now has three goals in three league games. 7
Rasmus Hojlund: An assist, a goal and a disallowed goal in the first half alone. Not remotely isolated and led the line superbly against a back three. 8
Subs
Scott McTominay: Restored United’s two-goal lead from a corner. 8
Antony: A liability. 2
Harry Maguire: Came on to heckles. 5
Omari Forson: Looked a bit fazed. 5
