Man Utd favorites to sign £58m Rashford upgrade

Manchester United could be set for an exciting time with recruitment in 2025 as Ruben Amorim has asked for a signing to save the Red Devils’ season- amid Rashford’s uncertainity.

Matheus Cunha , the Brazilian striker for Wolverhampton Wanderers , has caught the attention of Manchester United after his outstanding performance in recent months in the Premier League . His level of play, characterized by his technical ability, field vision and ability to define, has positioned him as one of the most in-form attackers in the English championship. This performance has not gone unnoticed by Rúben Amorim , the Red Devils’ coach, who has requested his incorporation for the January transfer market.

How Cunha compares to Rashford

It is no real surprise that Cunha has caught the eye of Amorim and those at INEOS, with the former Atletico Madrid man showcasing everything that United – and Rashford – are lacking during Wolves’ 2-0 triumph.

His versatility in attack, coupled with his ability to adapt to different positions, has made him an invaluable asset for Wolves. However, his growing role has sparked interest from bigger clubs, with Manchester United leading the race for his services.

As journalist Samuel Luckhurst stated during the game, the in-form marksman was simply “sensational” on the day, representing a player that the Red Devils “have to be looking to get” in 2025.

Other Possible Replacements

In addition to Cunha, Manchester United have also been scouting for other potential replacements. One supposed target – who won Euro 2024 with Spain over the summer – has apparently been identified, given he has an affordable release clause.

United ‘monitoring’ Williams

United are said to be tracking the situation of Nico Williams at Athletic Club. The winger ended up staying at his current employer this summer despite strong links with Barcelona.

El Desmarque claims the Spain international – who predominantly plays on the left flank – apparently has a £48m release clause in his contract. Williams attracted attention last season after registering 19 assists and eight goals in 37 matches.

This term, he has notched two goals and five assists in 23 outings. Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona are said to be rivalling United for his signature.

United ‘consider’ rival academy star

A report from TBR Football claims United are looking at stealing another academy prospect from Arsenal. United pinched Chido Obi-Martin from the Gunners this summer, the youngster tipped for a bright future in the game.

Now attention might be being turned to his former youth colleague, Ayden Heaven. The 18-year-old defender is said to also have Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool as admirers too.

Let’s wait and see how this will play out
